Does Viva Smile handle dental emergencies?

Yes, during office hours, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. A broken tooth, a lost crown, swelling, or pain that won't settle gets you seen the same day whenever the schedule allows, and the first visit focuses on relieving the problem: draining an infection, stabilizing a fractured tooth, re-cementing a crown, or managing pain. Definitive treatment is planned once you're comfortable, not rushed into on the day. After hours, patients can text the office; messages are answered and a plan is made quickly, including being seen first thing the next business day. For a dental injury with heavy bleeding, facial swelling that affects breathing or swallowing, or a jaw that may be fractured, go to the nearest emergency room first and call the office afterward. Call (818) 900-2800.

What does a first visit at Viva Smile involve?

A first visit at Viva Smile is a dental exam, not a sales conversation. X-rays and digital scans are taken, Dr. Baghdasaryan reviews them with you on screen, and you leave understanding exactly what's going on and what your options are, with costs. The exam is $150 and is covered by most PPO dental plans, so for many patients it costs nothing out of pocket. If your case is cosmetic or involves a full smile redesign, the Smile Design Appointment is the alternative starting point: two visits in which your smile is designed digitally and you wear a 3D-printed mockup of the result before anything permanent is done, with the $500 fee applied toward treatment. Patients who'd rather talk first can book a free Zoom consultation, though questions about a specific tooth or bone will need X-rays to answer properly. Nothing is decided on the day unless you want it to be.
