What we aim for
We build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.2, level AA. We check our own work ourselves. No outside auditor has looked at the site yet, so read this page as our account of where we stand. It is not a certificate.
What is in place
- Every page starts with a link that jumps straight to the content, so you do not have to tab through the menu every time.
- Everything you can click, you can reach with the Tab key, and the focused element is outlined in blue.
- Real headings, lists, tables and landmarks, so a screen reader can jump between sections instead of reading the page as one block.
- Body text and gray text are tested for contrast against the background they sit on, including the tinted sections.
- Animations are decoration, and they stop when your system asks for less motion. Nothing plays audio or video on its own.
- Forms have labels. Errors say what to fix in plain words, and when something appears without a page reload, a screen reader is told about it.
- Pages hold together at 200 percent zoom and on a phone, and nothing relies on color alone to be understood.
- There is no countdown anywhere, nothing on the site flashes, and no pop-up traps your keyboard.
What is still rough
- Wide tables in a report scroll sideways on a small screen. You can get to them, but it is awkward.
- Reports are dense. We have not written a plain summary of each one yet, for people who would rather read than scan.
- Pages we publish for clients carry text the client wrote. We fix what we spot, but we do not control every word.
- No screen reader user has tested the site for us yet. If you use one, tell us what breaks. We would rather hear it than guess.
Tell us what blocks you
